Celebrating 75 years of Facer
Facer Printers’ history is being celebrated throughout 2013 – the company’s 75th year of operation.
Originally founded as a family business by Mr A. R. Facer in 1938 with his wife to produce stationary for local businesses, the company continued as a going concern until the Wilson family bought the business 16 years ago.
Over the years it has developed from printing letterpress to developing into lithographic technology in the ‘80s before Andrew took the business from a 2-colour operator to 5-colour B2 capacity.
Andrew said: “Very few companies can chart their history back over seven decades. Printing has struggled through a tumultuous period, but our determination has combined with the businesses’ strong roots to secure an exciting future.”
